Celebrating Our ESL Students at Refugee Awareness Night
Last week, two of our ESL students, Mayra H. and Priscila C., shared their original poems with the community at the DSD Refugee Awareness Night at Farmington High School. Their work—and additional poems from students in the DCLC ESL program—was displayed for attendees to read and experience.
These poems reflect our students’ lives, their journeys, their challenges, and their hopes for the future. We’re grateful for the chance to showcase their voices and celebrate the stories they bring to our classrooms and our community.
