Parent Rights to Restrict Books for Their Student
We know that every book is not a good fit for every child.
A parent desiring to restrict their own child's access to specific library books or materials shall submit the request in writing -to the library professional at Valley View Elementary school.
A little bit about me:
My name is Corinne Higginson and I am the new Library and Media Specialist at Valley View Elementary. I have the worlds' best husband, and four awesome kids (2nd, 4th, 6th, 9th) that attend schools in our District. I love to spend time with my family, take care of my animals (I have a dog, cat, frog, and chickens), bake, and most importantly READ! I am so excited to be joining such a great school and look forward to meeting your students and you.
Here's the list of Books for Battle of the Books 2025-26. I'm happy to say we will be DOING Battle of the Books this year! It might look a little different, but I'm excited to be a part of this great program at Valley View!
KIDS and CULTURES
Our School to School partnership is going strong! We have enjoyed our contact and friendships with Henry Kapata Primary School in Kasama, Zambia.
